Bathurst Overnight Run 08

Well its that time of year again....How time flies....

The Annual Big Joe Choppers Bathurst Overnight Run is on for the weekend of the 1st and 2nd November, 08.

All bikes, couples and singles, and levels of experience are welcome. The ride will be from Albion Park to Bathurst on the Saturday, followed by a day ride home via Cowra on the Sunday.

Accomodation is the local hotel with the availability of lockup facilities for the bikes. Hospitality was fantastic last year, so they get a big thumbs up from us this year.

Cost is $60 per head inclusive of bed and Country breakfast. Have your money in by the 19th October. There are limited spaces, so it's first in, first served.

Gold Coast Bike Week 2008 (28th August thru 4th September)

Plans are starting to come together for the annual ride to Bike Week on the Gold Coast. The ride will get us From Wollongong to the Gold Coast over 2 days. We will be leaving the week of the 28th (Thursday). We will stop at a location to be determined and finish the trip up the following day. Accomodation at the Gold Coast will most likely be in Broadbreach ( a couple of doors down from surfers...). We will go to the bike show, along with some relax and rides over the weekend. We will then head back on Wednesday arriving Thursday. A support vehicle will be provided. More details will be posted as things firm up. Around the Block Ride- 4th May, 2008

WE have planned a ride around the block for 4th May, 2008. WE will be riding from Albion Park Rail to Batemans Bay, then over Clyde mountain to Braidwood. From there, we will head to Bungendore, Tarago, Goulbourn then Robertson and then home. All up we wil cover approx 500 kms. If you are keen to come along, contact Joe or Tracy for details.

Update: Bathurst Ride 27th/ 28th October, 2007

16th September, 2007: We will be leaving BJC Headquarters at 8:30 am on the 27th October. We should be in Bathurst around about lunch time or a bit later. This will give everoyone a bit of time to go to Mount Panarama and for those who haven't been to Bathurst before, to have a bit of a look around. At this stage, we are anticipating staying at one of the pubs in Bathurst so we need to start collecting numbers to ensure we can get sufficient capacity. Well the Gold Coast run was great.( A ride report will be posted shortly). Plans are now under way for the Bathurst ride on 27th/ 28th October, 2007. The ride will take us to Bathurst on the Saturday where we will stay the night and enjoy some of the local entertainment. (might even get a lap in at Mount Panarama.....)

On Sunday its off down the Mid Western Highway to Cowra. From there its off to Boorowa and down the Lachlan Valley Way to the Hume Highway which will lead us back to the Illawarra.

Gold Coast Bike Week

Big Joe and the team have organised the second annual group ride to Gold Coast Bike Week.

We will be leaving Wollongong on Thursday 30th August and stopping in Port Maquarie overnight. Arrival at the Gold coast will be on Friday. We will be arround all weekend heading home on Tuesday.

If you see us walking around (usually recognisable wearing Big Joe Choppers attire), stop and say G'Day. We should be easy enough to spot. And if it isn't us, then you just made a new friend with something in common.
