To install the Exhaust Actuator Eliminator, you first need to locate the Exhaust Actuator motor. On the Superglide to the left (and the relative family) you can find the motor just behind the rear cylinder. On some models ( tourers, etc) it may be necessary to remove the inner mudguard for access to the Actuator motor. |

This is a closer view of the motor. |

The connector show by the arrow will be disconnected from the motor. This is where the exhaust actuator eliminator will connect. |

SoftailsOn the Softails, the motor is located to the right hand rear of the bike, just behind the gearbox. The picture on the left indicates the motor with the red arrow. |

Plug removalUnplug the actuator motor connector from the motor. The motor can be removed if using alternate pipes or can be left installed if using standard pipes but would like to leave the butterfly open. If choosing to leave the pipes stock, ensure the butterfly is in the open position prior to unplugging the motor. This will ensure the butterfly will stay in the open position. |
